Wont stay in second.

After install my 3.25 RC lift and TC drop it keeps popping out of second gear. I can still drive by holding it in gear.

Any ideas of how to correct this problem?

I did a quick search didnt find anything.

Thanks guys.

Sounds like you need to adjust your shift linkage...

i had the same problem after installing a rough country 4" lift. i took off the foam tube off of the gear shifter under the shifter boot, and moved the console back just a bit and that fixed it. hopefully that helps. good luck

Your shifter boot might be getting in the way. Mine did the same thing after a TC drop. I took mine off, but I think remember seeing something about a leather shift that helped some peoples problem.

Yep, no linkage to adjust for the transmission shifter.

See it the shifter is hitting the boot/console. Likely the culprit.

Hey bud, pretty common issue after a body lift with a manual trans.

Read through this thread....

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/shif...ift-38900.html

Fix a couple of ways...
pull the boot off and remove the foam padding from the shift rod.
still hits...
trim the back of the consol.

Other options...
move the whole consol back as stated in the thread posted above.

Moral...first thing to try...remove the foam from the shifter rod.

Let us know what works for you bud.

i had the same problem when i put a rc 2.5 lift and a tc drop on mine. i called up the shop i bought the lift from and they told me to put it in 3rd and push the shifter lever all the way towards the dash. this bends the shifter lever slightly enough to accommodate for the tc drop.
