WTH are these things?

I went to swap over the aftermarket dash speakers fron my TJ into my LJ and I wasnt quite sure what I was looking at. I have never actually seen stock front speakers since my TJ came with an aftermarket setup. Do all TJs come with these hideous front speakers?

A few OEM type speakers are like that. Just a 4x6 plate with what looks like a 4" and a tweeter... That style will prob sound better than a cheapy 4x6.

Think of it as a really cheap and small component set!

Yea, those were the upgraded speakers so that Jeep dealers could advertise the Wrangler as coming with 7-speaker premium systems, when really, it was just a small pathetic subwoofer in the console and a tweeter hitting your knees.

I havent seen that style in a TJ before. Mine came with the cheap and crappy 4x6 speakers, but those are long gone. I am now running Boston Acoustics up front.
