XJ Parts in TJ? (Trackbar, CAs)

hello,

i saw on rustys website that their adj. front trackbar and adj. front upper and lower CAs fit in a XJ and in a TJ.
is it the same with these parts from other brands like RE?

after i added 2" more lift my front springs rub at the bumpstop in full flex. that´s why i want to center the front axle.

a friend has an adj. front trackbar and adj front CAs from RE. they are in good condition and i could have them for free.
but will they fit?

thanks in advance for your answer.

the rustys parts from a XJ would fit in a TJ:

Trac-Bar - Adjustable Front (TJ,XJ,ZJ)

Control Arms - Adjustable Front Lower (XJ,TJ)

Control Arms - Adjustable Front Upper (XJ,TJ,ZJ)

i think that RE parts will fit, but i´m not really sure...

JKS is that way also.

I don't think RE would be any different. get them.

http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=9306 (it says they fit TJ and XJ)

their track bar is like that also

when i let the TJ down on his own tires the left front spring hung at the metal bumsptop thing. i had to pull the spring about 1" to the front with a lashing strap and then it came over the bumsptop.

actually i´ve about 4.5" of lift and the axle went 2.5" to the right and 2" to the rear when the TJ stands.

on the road it´s ok now but when the front springs compress very much while breaking hard they make an annoying metal sound.

that´s why i want to install adj. front CAs and an adj. front trackbar.

Saw your post and while I don't have anything to add about it, I thought I'd poke my head in and let you know I'm still working on getting you that APO address from my buddy. Just having a hard time getting in contact with him.....

thank you jordan...!!!

btw. take a look at my CA angle...

with the lonre 5" OME shocks it would be about 45 degrees when the axle is down.

the xj control arms are the same as the tj

with 4.5 in. off lift you need adjustable control arms or long arms
but you definatly need adjustable control arms

i didn´t know that before because some 4" suspensions come without CAs.

then i´ll install the front CAs and trackbars tomorrow. but they´re not from RE (he already sold the RE CAs). they´re from rustys. are they ok?

do you think i also need other rear CAs? nothing is rubbing at the rear. and i planned to buy them nxt year with the SYE and belly up kit.

Find out the part number on the RE track bar. If it is the RE1600 I wouldn't waste your time installing it. Yes the control arms will be the same. Yes you should definitely install them.

Control arms for TJ's, XJ's and ZJ's are interchangable. As is that front trac bar your friend has. Push the axle forward a little and your spring should stop rubbing. You could wait on the rears if its not too bad back there right now.
