what do you need help on? that's pretty vague. but I will advise that depending on your location taking the A/C out may significantly decrease the resale value.

sorry about being vague,

when i try to turn the a/c on, with the temperature knob on coldest it doesn't come out cold, nor does it even come out as just ambient temperature air, it actually comes out hotter then ambient air...

so i figured there was something wrong with my a/c system (i didnt really mind it) so i turned it to the setting were the air is still coming out of the top vents, but theres no snowflake next to the symbol (signifying, its not conditioned air, its just passing the air that the system sucks up so it should be the same temperature as ambient)

that was also hotter then ambient, not by as much, but still noticeably higher

i read somewhere on here there's some sort of mixture gate, that mixes the hot and cold air

im sure theres a problem with my a/c system...and it maybe being compounded by this gate being stuck or something

If the compressor works let it run then feel your freon lines. One should be cold to the touch. That tells you a/c is working but the problem must be with the vent flap.

I don't know about the vent flap. Never had to deal with one on the jeep. But if the air comes out of the different locations such as defrost, floor, dash vents I don't think that is the issue. If the air comes out hot on all settings there may be a problem with the valve that opens the feed to the heater core allowing hot water to run through it all the time. If thats the case all air settings will be hot even with the temp. dial all the way to cold.

Also any air coming out of the vents is going to be hotter than ambient because it has to pass by areas heated by the engine such as firewall, vent cowling.

There are 2 air doors -
1 one to direct the air to vents, floor etc,
2 to get either warm air from the heat box, or from the evaporator chamber.

If the air is warm, but the tubes up front by the drier are cold, then it's obviously #2 is not working.
