You never realize the progress you are making with your Jeep until...

You park next to a stock one!

By no means do I consider my Jeep hardcore or extreme and it still has quite some way to go, but I am pretty happy with the progress I have made.

Yours looks great. But aren't you talking about progress towards your goals. One reason I like the jeep thing is that you can customize however or how much you want in other words progress is in the eyes of the beholder.

Sorry if I worded it wrong and you are correct. To sum it up my jeep has come a long way from stock moving towards "my own goals/use". It was just real nice parking next to a stocker and actually getting to see it.

Is it just a shadow or is your grill painted black?

Your front bumper looks happy. I think it likes the little Jeep beside it.

I feel the same way when I pull up next to stockers . . . then I park next to my buddy who's running 40" tires and I feel like a shrimp!

Looks good. But the great thing about jeeps is that no 2 are the same. The guy next to you might be perfectly happy with his stock set up.

Its a custom thedirtworx bumper. ( if you do a search for " thedirtworx " and you can see the thread on here that I made about it.) They are stock fogs relocated to the rear. I have them run off a switch since it was much easier to do. I had already installed an extra switch and ran the wire to the rear when I installed the switch for the front fogs.

Oh I know and to some my jeep looks more like a stock jeep next to their rigs. I was just real excited to see how far mine has come transforming to what I want.

Mods don't come cheap, so it may not be an option for some.

Nice ride! Amazing what 33" tires can do. And to think that lots of people don't even think those are all that big anymore.

There's a guy at work with 42" tires on a CJ. But I personally think he's got some issues he's working out. :-)

40+ is the new rage out here . . . seems like the guys that were running the Hammers on 35's 2 years ago are now going to 40's and 42's. I'm on 33's now and am tossing around the idea of 35's but that's it as any bigger and I won't fit in the garage.

nothing new about 40 +.. as far as im consirned 33 is small...around here guys ten years ago would run a minimum of 35's on their lifted up trucks or jeeps. Back in the day guys would run militarey axels... We make jokes at work about all the "pretty boys" and their 4 door trucks with a mild lift and 33's bla bla bla boring boring boring....lol

ahh yes. i remember now, ive asked you about it not too long ago. so it caught my eye twice and based on the thumbs-up from others, i guess it should be added to my 'wants' list.
