Ok so just in case someone else was looking for accurate moog part numbers I figured I'd post them to make their life a little easier The complete moog steering can be purchased at rockauto for $200 shipped using your old tierod adjuster sleeve on draglink end. I know that people say the tj draglink is the same but my research says the zj draglink threads are 1" longer "makes no difference" and also 1/2 the price.

Partial Conversion
1 - DS1312 - Drivers side inner tie-rod at the drag link
1 - ES3096L - Left hand thread tie-rod end (this could be either left outside or at the pitman arm - they are both the same)
1 - ES2079S - Tie Rod End Adjustment Sleeve

Full Conversion
1 - DS1310 - Passenger, or right side, outer tie-rod (called drag link in some applications)
1 - DS1312 - Drivers, or left side, inner tie-rod at the drag link
2 - ES3096L - Left hand thread tie-rod end (this could be either left outside or at the pitman arm - they are both the same) YOU NEED 2 OF THESE!
1 - ES2079S - Tie Rod End Adjustment Sleeve

Here is a video I found for someone unfamiliar with steering components ie. tie-rod installation and removal...

You asked me in another thread for the part numbers and I did not get them posted yet...sorry!

I used all of the same parts you listed...nice job on the list!

The drag link, adjustment sleeve and TRE at the pitman arm are the OEM size but that matches the ZJ upgrade size. My thought was replace it all so I know how old all of it was and it all started new at one time.

There is a difference in the drag link that needs to be noted: the angle of the hole for the stabilizer is canted differently. This can cause interference with some track bars. So with my Metalcloak track bar all seems to be okay, but I have not yet really stretched this new suspension out on the trail. If I find evidence of scraping I will post about it on the forum. It seemed to be fine with the stock bar. I have read about issues with others, though. Of note: some stabilizers are fatter than others. I use the excellent (but shinny) Monroe, so this may be why it works for me.

The full ZJ upgrade is the tie rod, a coupler sleeve and a tie rod end and the ZJ drag link, TRE and (optionally, if your sleeve is rusted out like mine was) another adjuster sleeve. Six parts, five if you don't need a new sleeve.

If you don't need a drag link that is not an issue. If you *do* the ZJ part is almost-but-not-quite the same as the TJ one, but like one third the cost.

They are not the same part. I have both.

Awesome List 88joker88. I am doing my homework on this and list crossover with mine. I decide to do a full conversion to make easier on the service records.
Quick question as the Jeep has a 4" suspension lift kit.
What is your guys thought on the pit arm Stock or Drop?
Currently has a 4" drop pit arm that comes with the lift kit.

Use the stock pitman, DPAs cause more issues.

So I just removed my crappy crown steering drag link and installed a Moog drag link for the tj, not the ZJ. I was about to pull the trigger on the ZJ drag link but someone suggested the angle of the stabilizer was not so good for the tj. I am using an ome stabilizer, it is much larger on the drag link end and actually contacted the new drag link because the stabilizer hole angle was different than the crown drag link I removed. Luckily I still had my stock stabilizer and swapped out the tapered bolts. The stock one is maybe 1/2" longer. It put the ome stabilizer higher and removed the contact. Just FYI in case you're using the ome stabilizer.

Hate to bring back up an old thread...I purchased the rugged ridge setup and am going to return it, too many negative reviews, plan on doing this swap and ordering everything from above, anyone have the link to the video? Shows up as private for me now.

Everything I need?

celticsfan,
***You need 2 units of ES2079S.

Not have any video link but this is a pretty straight forward upgraded, I saw some "how to" on the Stu Olson website where I do use the Toe in adjustment instructions from.

I do run OEM pitman w 4" lift and OEM stabilizer, no problems.

Hope this helps.

Great appreciate the response, was just looking for a quick run down, seems pretty straightforward. Assuming i should be measuring from end of tie rod to where it threads in for the new ones?

No lift yet, going to be using the 3.5" rock crawler lift my last jeep had along with MC front and rear Track Bars. Hopefully soon.
