I just put a 1.25 inch bl on my 93 YJ, it kind of made it difficult to shift into second and fourth and reverse. any ideas why?

Inner shift boot is fighting you. Lots of guys have removed the inner boot entirely. I've also seen a thread where someone made a new inner boot out of a softer inner tube material. You can also hot bend the shifter a bit.

Glad I could help! I'm still too lazy to take care of my own inner boot.

When it's really cold in the morning, I let it heat up a bit more. If I get in and go, I have to hold it in second until I give it some gas. It pops all the time. It keeps the gf out of the driver seat, so there is that benefit.
