1980 CJ doors on a 1994 YJ

Hello,

New to the forum, not new to Jeeps, however new to parting one together.

I have a 94 YJ and I am looking to put full steel doors on it. I have a guy with a 1980 CJ7 set of full steel doors and hardtop.

I know they will "fit", but I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with latch hardware for the doors? Do they have locks?

What problems might I run into?

Thanks!

I have hard doors off an 80 that I use during winter.

You will either have to find the stock strikers (which is nearly impossible) or make some. You will also probably have to loose n the hinges and align them to your jeep. Mine didn't come with Keyes for the door handles so I ordered new ones off eBay for around $40 with Keyes.

Factory vs the ones I made and where they mount on the tub. You will have to drill two holes to mount them and remove the round striker.

Thanks guys. I decided to pass on this purchase. Looks simple enough, but I'd rather find the right doors, I think.
