1988 full hard door lock cylinders.

Hi all, I have a broken lock cylinder on my drivers door. Every Time I lock it I have to unlock the passenger door climb in it and unlock the drivers door. I bought new lock cylinders on ebay but they are not correct, so I went to Autozone, Checker and others to find the correct one. And they are also all different. We even tried all years and other AMC/Jeep models. They have a short plastic arm on the back of them and mine have a longer metal arm on them. Has anyone ran into this problem or know where I can find the correct ones?

Try jeep4x4center.com i haven't had that issue yet but I have had a few issues with the latch release mechanisms on the drivers door being loose so the release mechanism would slide by the clasp release lever and get stuck(7 months of climbing in the passenger side to drive). And half door latch assembly's have different dimensions. One day I decided to take the striker plate and door hinges off and pivot the door( not as easy as thought had to bend the section of body tub pinch weld between the striker plate and door). After it was off I hit the release and "walla" it opened so in order to stop it from sliding past I took one of those bendable c clips for drum brakes and put it on the loose release lever bent it on and never had an issue since. Used paper clips to reattach the lock rods were the plastic clips were deteriorated and never had an issue since.
