1989 yj steering gear

I am a new owner of a 1989 yj and the steering box, steering intermediate shaft and lower column bearing all need to be replaced, I have been looking into best way to go for steering gear. I read somewhere I this forum a gearbox from a 1998 or 1999 dodge Durango will fit, has a much better ratio and is a heavier duty steering gear. Just looking for confirmation on this being a good way to go

Thanks very much! It is the way to go from what I see here. Going to install the Durango gearbox with a new intermediate shaft and bearing. I also have a steering box brace that I will install, after all that my steering should be good to go!!
