Are there any comments or suggestions about this engine like if it's a good one or what or any personal experiences with them good or bad

I have a 90 and love it, check for rust in the normal spots and ditch the carter BBS for a MC2150 and your golden

This engine is a throwback to AMC. It is bulletproof- mine is at 230,000 and still going strong.

I'm kinda new to the whole jeep thing and am not real sure about the carb I'm sure if it is the carter bbs but I do know it's like a "double barrel" carb not sure if that means anything tho!

If it's a 2 barrel then it's not the Carter, but even if it was it's not a deal breaker, just an item that needs to be replaced at first opportunity.

Carter 2bbl was stock on the YJ until 1990.

It's a horrible engine. You should pull it out and give it to me, then do an SBC swap...

Yes it's a real good one, it has a lot of low end torque, great engine for a jeep.
