1991 2.5 manual transmission help

was coming home tonight down the highway in 4th gear and hit a pothole and i down shifted and could barely get it into gear. it goes into first third and fifth if i force it over but it wont go into any of the bottom gears (2nd, 4th, reverse) any one know what could have happened?

Can you shift it into the gears with the engine off? If so, sounds like a clutch issue, perhaps you knocked a hydro line loose or off?

no the clutch is fine i believe, it does the same when its off, i will for sure check the mount today.

transmission is fine, bolts on the skid plate broke and that caused it to drop and slide around.

Glad to hear it's not something too serious. I've always tried to avoid pot holes because knowing my lucky I'll pop a tire or something like that.

the bolts were already half rusted out anyways, the bump just finished it off. im going to pick up a new old transmission out of a 95 next weekend to slowly rebuild that, always nice to have a spare!
