I need help picking a cam to lower the max torque from 4000 to a usable 1800 to 3000.

check comp cams, they have a cam selector program where you enter your motor specs

Pinch your exhaust pipe; a bit of back pressure will help the low end torque.

Never heard of pinching the exhaust pipe. I'll try the comp cams approach and look into the other. Thanks for the answers.
