1991 Metric or SAE Oil Filter Thread?

I'm finally getting around to doing the tuneup on my wrangler. I'm finding in speaking with both Autozone and Advanced that the 1991 had both an SAE and Metric Oil Filter option. I don't know which one I need. Any way of telling without pulling the existing filter and matching it up?

Denis

see if you can read the part number and manufacturer on the old filter, they can cross-reference it if they don't carry it
