1992 speedo issue

my 92 yj has no speedo response the trip dosent work either
according to the schematics the tach and the speedo share
the same power source my tach works fine I've replaced the
speed sensor and the connector with a new one from Orilleys
but still no speedo any suggestions ?

Drive it for a while. You won't rack up miles then if you sell it... there won't be as many miles Haha! Did you check the little speedo gear in the t case? Make sure its free and spinning. Its operated by a cable and the cable could have broke. Also pull the big main wireing harness off on the driver side under the hood up against the fire wall. There is 1 bolt in the middle. Unscrew that and then it all comes off in one shot. Clean all the connections in there as well.

the gear was fine it just slides into a housing and the sensor engauges
the top I put the sensor in a drill and the speedo still didn't work I'll
clean the wiring block and see what that does thanks!

cleaned the connector and added dielectric grease but still no speedo

i found and fixed my problem i found a schematic and traced the wires found
power on the tach side of the cluster but none on the speed o side so i repaired the
printed ckt to that side and it worked fine hope this helps someone else with this same issue

great!!! I was wondering if that was the problem. I had no clue what wires to look at so I didn't really say anything
