Angry 1992 wrangler SHAKING HELP!!

i was driving my jeep yesterday on the highway. i was at around 60 mph and let off the gas getting ready to take an exit. then the whole jeep started shaking like i was driving over rocks or something. i started slowing down and it stopped around 20 mph. WHAT THE &^%$ WAS IT? can anyone give me a clue. it felt like i was going to freaking flip, it was that bad. it seems to drive fine now except for it bounces alot in reverse but that could be a clutch problem.

Check your track bar bolts. I also removed the other post in the other sections....about this same thing...YJ section is the best one to have it in.

Were you on a road that you know? These short wheel base jeeps can send you for a ride on a bad road. Or, if you suspect a clutch problem for your reverse, that could also be the culprit here.

Well, if you hit a bump just as it happened, maybe your shocks and/or steering stabilizer are shot. I would suggest a good qualty lift kit and a new steering stabilizer. maybe the lift isn't required. I thought you might be looking for an excuse to get one. This sounds like the same problem that had a few years ago. I put 31's on my jeep and every time I hit a bump it would shake violently for a few seconds. The bigger tires were just too much for the worn out shocks to handle. This was when I got my lift. Since I needed new shocks it just made sense to get the lift.
