1993 Jeep YJ

I have had a offer come in for my 1998 camaro z28. The person offered me a 1993 Wrangler and it is really clean. it has 190k but he said he did a rebuild at 150k (I asked for the paperwork and am waiting to see it). The only thing wrong with it is that there is no A/C. A/C is a must in Texas with this 100 degree weather streak. I know there are kits for it but i do not have $950 for it. Can I get your thoughts on the trade. Should i wait for a better deal? anyways feel free to post your thoughts. Thank you!!!

Can always ask for money towards an ac kit.
Also find out about the other components of the jeep. The engine might only have 40k on it, but the tranny and clutch could be a lot worse for wear.

What do you need AC for? Take the top and doors off...LOOK! instant AC and its free!....lol.

Some people just get spoiled with all the creature comforts.

Myself, unless your camaro is used and abused, I would say that the swap isnt worth it. 5 years older even up? NAH....I would say the YJ and 500 for your car would be more even.

I would put an estimated book value of 2500 to 3000 on the Wrangler. Depending on the condition of the body and frame.

I do just fine in Florida in July with no A/C. To be honest with you, I'm a fat guy with sweats a lot anyway and I find a bikini top (to keep the sun off you) with no doors and no top does just fine in the heat. Even at 10-15MPH (stop and go traffic), the breeze helps.

Now, where it's bad is my S10 where there is top and doors and even with the windows down there's not a lot of air flow...
