1993 Wrangler Heater Only Blowing on HIGH

For some reason my 1993 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 6cyl's heater will only blow when I set the fan to high. The fan does not kick on in the low or medium setting. I have tried to search for a solution, but I only find this issue with the TJ model and I dont know if it is the same. If someone could help me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. I live in NY and these winters are cold, but keeping the heat blowing on HIGH is a little much at times.

Usually when that happens it's the blower motor resistor.

I would agree with rio. Some times it's the switch but that is rare unless it's dirty contacts, but try the resistor first.

It's been a long time since I've poked around in a yj but in most cars it's behind the heater control panel. I recommend picking up a haynes manual . It will be in there and will help on other projects a jeep this old will have.
