1994 engine swap opinions

Hey first time poster great site. I recently bought a 1994 wrangler and had a question about swaping out the 2.5 thats in it for a 4.0 or a 4.2 I did'nt know what engine would be best. I have a friend that claims you can just pull the 2.5 and just bolt the new 6 cyl. right in, but from what i see on here that dosen't sound that simple. I plan on putting a lift on it and just using it for cruising and maybe some 2 tracking thats about it. Just wondering what would be best and the easiest. Dont know if those 2 even go together but any info on this would be great.

Keep the 2.5 and run the snot out of it. It's really a fine little motor that's tough as nails. The 6 isn't a huge deal to swap but its not a a bolt in and go.

you'd have to change the motor mounts, computer, wiring harness, the ax5 transmission won't stand up to the 6 cylinder, so you'd have to change that and then you run into a problem with the output shaft spline count for the t-case...

Dang it I was getting my hopes up when I saw this post. Every CJ I've had has had a 4.2 and they are TOUGH with great low end torque.

Looks like it might be easier to just trade my '93 yj for anything with a 6 banger.
