I have a 1994 YJ Sahara and plan to install new Black Mountain Seats in the front and back. I see the floor bolts for the front seats, but cannot tell how to remove the seat bracket from the seat. The new seats state in the description they work with the factory brackets/hardware. How do I remove. Thanks in advance for the help.
just take the whole seat and frame out.... Much easier to take out and then flip over to see the 1/2 inch fasteners .... unless you gumby... Give you chance also to clean the frames up and paint...
So once I have the seats out and flipped over how do the brackets come off the seat? Looks like there are 4 screws in the rails (2each). Do I undo those? Thanks for the help.
yeap..... Should be VERY obvious.... Be careful to not depress the slide lever as one side will move and the other may stay and then it will pop that lever off...
Not a major pain... But it will cover the bolt on one side and its a pain to push it back.
Good time to clean and lube that slide and release....
I think there are 4 nuts to be removed. Slider probably has to be in a specific spot for two of the nuts. I installed my aftermarket seats some time ago. My new seats use a standard bolt with nut.
