1995 heater core bypass question!!!

heater core developed a leak.....steam coming thru vents a couple of times and anti-freeze on carpet....i had the heater core bypassed for now since it is warmer now and wont be using the heat....since it is bypassed it wont continue to leak from anywhere else in that part of the system right? it sounds like a dumb question but and i should of asked the guy who did it but forgot to...i just dont want to be driving out in east bungle f--k and over heat due to coolant loss! any comments, advice?

You might still get a leak, but that would be from any fluid left in the coor. If they did it right (out to in, or even in to out, its the same) then you will not lose any more fluid unless you have another leak somewhere else...

In 40 years of engineering I have never heard a dumb question. I have, however, hear many many dumb answers.
