2.5 long or short block.

Where can I find a good rebuilt long or short block for my 1992 2.5 cylinder?
I have searched the internet & the prices I have seen are more than I remember getting engines for. My block is cracked so its time to change the motor.

A long block is going to run between $1200 and $1600 depending on the manufacturer. I have been looking too. I priced locally at a machine shop and the price was about the same by the time labor and parts were figured in.

A lot of prices require you to send your own block back. Since yours in is cracked, they won't expect it. You'll have to cover the core on top of that.

To save a little on a core charge if you have a rebuilt one sent to you, you might see if you can pick up a used one at a junk yard or if junk yard motor is not that bad, run it or rebuild it yourself.
