2.5 yj needs more

Alright I need some suggestions.... I have a 95 yj jeep wrangler with a 2.5 straight 4 and I am wanting to add more torque and maybe some more hp without changing engines I am open to the idea of changing an engine

Re-gear fastest and most economical. If your lifted and 33s or bigger its the best 4:10 to 4:88s.

89 2.5 TBI, 4" RC lift, 1" Booms, SYE, Adams Driveshafts front and rear, Ford 8.8 with 4:88s, BFG 33X12.50X15, and a ton of other stuff.

I added an inertia ring to the flywheel of my 2.5 and it is night and day as how well it climbs now. So much more down low that you can almost idle over obstacles. I have also done the standard mods that most people do that have the 4 cylinder, ie. 4.0 throttle body, bored the intake manifold to match the bore, 4 port fuel injectors, and cold air intake but I feel the inertia ring had the most impact on off road performance.
