2.5l swap for a 4.6 stroker....=p

I'm getting this 93 yj. Its a 2.5l. I want a yj to swap a 4.6 stoker into. Obviously I should start off with a 4.0 yj, but this 2.5l is getting traded for my Cherokee. Straight across. I know most people say, don't waste your time, sell the 2.5, or swap in a v8. well, I want to swap in the stroker I'm building. As far as I know, I need an ecu, wiring harness, engine/tranny combo, time and sweat.
What I dont know: Does the 2.5 and the 4.0 use the same engine mounts?
will a 2.5 manual tranny bolt to a newer 4.0 (96-98 xj block)?
Any advice would be helpful or any links to a thread where someone has already done this.

I'm new to this forum. Ive been lurching here for a long time. Just registered today. This is my project I'm getting read to embark on. I will be starting a build thread here as well as on my home forum (NAXJA). Also, I have a thread going on my 4.6l stoker plans. Parts are already coming in for it. You can Follow it over on NAXJA. Heres the link: my early plans on a 4.6l stroker........any advice? - NAXJA Forums -::- North American XJ Association

motor mounts are different. Also don't forget about the t-case. Not sure if you can just swap some basic parts or if you will need a whole new one. 2.5 will not bolt up to 4.0L as far as I know, plus the 4.0L is too much power for it.

thank you. I just read this article which helped somewhat. 2.5L to 4.0L Engine and Transmission Conversion - Jeepaholics Anonymous

The 2.5 comes with the ax-5 tranny. I would need to run the ax-15. not a problem. Im really concerned with this being a california vehicle. Ive never dealt with the dmv on motor swaps. I know this would be a legal swap, due to the fact that it would be a newer engine, but I dont know if i want to deal with the dmv.
