2" Lift

I want to lift my 91 YJ 2". What is best a suspension lift of a body lift? All I want is a little more room for tires.

Unless your springs have been replaced in the past, I would recommend getting the suspension lift. Your Jeep is 19 years old and more than likely, the stock springs are worn out. Also, if you do decide to use the Jeep off road, longer springs will allow more wheen travel and suspension flex in the rough stuff.

Suspension lift for sure. the old leaf springs have to be a bit worn out and saggy. also have a 91 YJ and can't wait to get my 2" suspension lift, because I KNOW my old suspension is sagging a TON! But, I can still fit 31's on there with minimal rubbing. What I will be looking for is more tire room for flex and things when off-roading

'Thanks, I have 31 on her now and have about 2" of clearance. I will go with a suspension lift in the future. Need to save up more jeep fund money. I just replaced my slave cylinder and cat by myself. Not to bad of of a job with a trany lift.

I recently had the Rubicon Express 2.5" lift put on my '95. I also changed out the shackles-Rubicon Express greasable up front, and MORE boomerangs in back, also greasable. Totally happy with this setup. It came with a small transfer case lowering kit, and I added braided brake line extensions. Got swaybar disconnects too. I have 30" tires on it as of now, but will go to 31". Here are some pics.

After everything, it ends up being about 3.25" of lift. I wouldn't even consider a body lift for what it's worth, just my opinion though...

Thanks, yeah, I gotta get these tires wore down enough to slap some new ones on. The RE springs are really soft...unbelievable difference in ride. I considered the Old Man Emu kit, but I got more with Rubicon's kit for the price.
