3.5 lift vs 2.5 and shackle lift

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but what will flex and ride better(importance in that order).

3.5 lift springs

vs.

2.5 lift springs and 1 inch lift shackles

My short term goal is to replace my worn springs that I have now with a setup that will give me 3.5 inch or less total lift. I want my jeep to be pretty low cog.

I plan on running 33's with TJ flares for a while, with long term goal belly up lift, 35's, and probably metal cloaks.

The cost difference between 2.5 and 3.5 spring are pretty big, plus I already have the shackles.

Also where is the best place to get just springs? I already have longer brake lines, t case drop ect. so I would like to save some $$$ by not getting a "lift kit".

Thanks

You can order springs alone from any company. I believe BDS has a section on their website for ordering individual parts, that's what I did. Other companies may not have that option on their website. In that case just call them.

What's company did you want to buy from? Is their a certain spring you were looking into. I have 4.5" of lift and 35's with flat fenders in the front and slightly trimmed the tub in the rear and I don't rub.

I was looking at old man emu or bds mabye. I don't want to jump to 4.5 and get driveline vibes. I can't afford a sye kit for a while.

SYE's are cheap. Especially if you sell your t-case drop and put that money towards it. The cheap route isn't a good route. Save some money and do it right once. Cut corners and you will regret it...
