Need to ride wide 31's or the conversion ??

I dunno I like wide tires , I had general grabbers 33x12.50r15 and they were to Harvey for my 2.5L and I'm not looking in to rehearing right now, I like he wide tire look

I like 12.5 as well, they make for a nice stance on my YJ. You can usually go with,

10.5
12.5
or 14

But, I can't find a 31x14x15 you may need to go to a 33 or higher to get that wide. Or, use a couple wheel spacers if you don't want to re-gear. Your engine would do fine w/a re-gear to change ratios.

Yeah I would like to find a lighter in weight 33 tire the Generals were Heavy mo-fo's, any idea on a lighter tire I. That size ???

Not to aggreesive, good all around are the Good Year Duratracs and the Cooper Discoverer SST and STT... unless you want something more aggressive lol.

The stt is a good street tire.. Almost a good all terrian i guess... But if you ever plan to go further off road than a gravel driveway i wouldnt waste money on em

If you want nice sound and a wider tire I would go with BFG KM2's. You can get them in the odd size of 32X11.5. That should be fine for your 2.5 and will give you a nice hum. They also last a long time and are great off road.

Complete rebuild axle/engine/everything swap in progress:
Parts already gathered for assembly: 2001 Ford 302, 1990 Mustang GT 5.0 ECU and wiring, NP435, NP205, Pair of axles from 04' F350 SuperDuty (Sterling 10.5 Posi rear, Dana 60HP Front-Both Disk Brakes 3.73 Gears), 37" H1 Tires, 9" lift TJ Coils for 2 link conversion in front, Stage 2 Clutch Kit, 3 Row Aluminum Radiator, Chevy Astro Steering box (4" front Stretch), XJ Rear Leaf Springs (6" Rear Stretch), and lots more.
