Yes and no. It depends on how heavy your foot is, and another varying factor I've heard lately is whether or not you have an auto or manual.
The rear D35 is a very weak axle. Mine came apart on me on the street. Some people break them on the stock tire size, others have managed to get by with 33's. Automatics you can creep through obstacles relatively easy, manuals you have to use a bit more finesse and pick your paths wisely. I personally wouldn't risk 33's on the rear axle. I'd try to go for a Ford 8.8 first.
The front D30 is a stronger axle by design, I've seen people rocking 35's on it before, without being delicate.
