350 V8 swap/trans question

Plan on doing a 350 swap to my 95 Jeep YJ....I am thinking about keeping my 5 speed AX5 trans.....how well will it hold up to the 350? Not doing major rock crawling or mudding...

I got a lot of good info from Novak conversions when I did my engine swap into my CJ and my YJ. Check it out here...Chevrolet & GM Engine Conversions in the Jeep YJ Wrangler

Getting a motor out of a 72 chevelle...of course I'm gonna upgrade the motor and what not....what year 700r4 trans will work on there. Are they pretty much all compatible?

The ax5 will not hold up at all to a 350. Advance Adapters also has a bunch of information and parts. They helped me get through my engine swap.

Advance Adapters

a 700r4 and 231 out of blazer with a short kit on the transfer would probably be the cheapest and easiest. Don't know if the the v6 tranny are the same inside as the v8. if not a rebuild would take care of that
