3rd gear raking

i have a 1992 jeep wrangler 5 sp manual 4cyl Recently had a new clutch and slave cylinder put in . everything was fine for the first couple weeks then it started to act up , here is what it does, i dont run the jeep much its my spare vehichle so if it sets for a while and when i start running it its shifts fine but it seems like when it warms up it wants to rake going into 3rd gear ONLY , all other gears shift fine . it seem to do it the most when you are at higher RPMs pulling a hill when you need to grab another gear . or down shifting any suggestion would be apprecaited

Interesting, Is rake the same as grinding gears??? I currently have this same issue, Mine does it only on downshifts, and it does seem to get worse when it warms up. I'm hoping you get some good answers cuz I need some answers too!

Sounds like either it needs new fluid or its a syncro.

Same thing on my 92 4.0 5 speed. It's the syncro most likely. It will get worse and worse. My 3rd gear grinds all the time now as does my 5th gear. I'm looking into a rebuilt tranny. Hope I can find a good deal on one
