4.0 throttle body mod?

is there a way to tell the diference between a 2.5 throttle body and a 4.0 throttle body by looking at it? wanted to look and see if a previous owner already has done this to my jeep. any vacume lines plugged, or any visual distingtion that its a 4.0? was thinking of doing this myself with maybe a cai just wanna make sure it hasnt already been done tb wise.

my TB on my 4.0 measures 2.35" on the inside after all the taper.. its funny that it says 25B on the inside though.. wird.. i got 4.0 engine.. i'm thinking about bouring the bottom of the throttle body since its smaller than the intake manifold hole I'm searching for more info though

I believe they are different configuration.. so one would allow more air to enter at idle otherwise it wouldnt be numbered the engine size it belongs to.. it would be just one same part... I'm reading here people usually replace the position sensor.. check it out http://www.wranglerforum.com/tj-chat...html#post78545

thanx again for the info i think i read that before i was thinking something had to be changed between the 2 ill pull mine off and take a look at the 2 to see how it looks. im hoping tommorow after work ill get to it. i also gotta look into a new fuel filter and see how dirty mine is im hoping i dont also havta do a fuel pump i just put a new one in not too long ago with a new sending unit. it would be just my luck that it goes bad this quick. lol either way somethings not right its acting like it aint getting any fuel below 3000 rpms really dogging out bad. hit 3000 rpms and it seems to do just fine. kinda sounds like fuel pump to me but im praying for something different considering i got a full tank of gass. might be a few weeks till i get to fuel pump this weekend im working on trany filter oil change and gear oil in the rear end of my vette. seems like the stuff never ends if it aint one its another and if somethings not broke something else needs improvement for either more hp or better ride lol

yus seemed a little more responsive when i push on the pedal. but not a huge difference. id say for $40 for throttle body and gasket and such it was worth it.
