4.0 throttle body on a 2.5???????????

can i put a 4.0 throttle body on my 2.5 motor? if so how easy is it and what will i need?

95'jeep yj,2in lift herculined, 31" tires, 8000lbs winch, front and rear bumpers

Yes you can - wont need anything other than the new throttle body. Everything just hooks right up... but you have to get one from a 4.0L between 87 and 95(?) I think... not completly sure, but if you can find one off a 4.0L around the same year as your YJ you should be good.

I wouldn't recommend getting one before 90 since they were carbs.

Make sure you change out the ais motor and housing from your 2.5 on to the 4.0 throttle body. Other than that it is just a bolt on and an easy change. Get a gasket for $2 just in case your old one is shot. I noticed some change in high end performance (on the highway) and it seems to pull better in the lower end, too. My gas mileage went up by a couple of mpg, but I took the restrictors out of my air box and did a full tune up at the same time I changed out the TB.

Oh, I almost forgot... you will need a T20 tamper proof torx bit to change out the ais motor housing.
