4.0L fuel injectors

hey guys, while rebuilding my engine. i took the fuel injectors out of the intake and off the fuel rails. so i need to replace the o rings. i bought the o ring kits from napa, but the kits come with 2 o-rings, a hard plastic seal of some sort, and a little blue nipple of some sort. i'm assuming the later two are meant for the inside of the injector? anyone have a clue how to disassemble the injectors to put these in? or should i not worry abt it and only replace the two o rings?

first thought is did you get the o rings for the fuel lines by mistake. if not just change the 2 on the injector. I would change injectors if there old.

i figured it out. the "nipple" is a pintle cap and the other thing is just a spacer. i'm looking at new injectors. but they're expensive

REBEL,

They have a fantastic post on "Jeep Forum.com" about the injector swap. It list parts, what to do and how to do it. It is very detailed. It is in the Grand Cherokee section (ZJ) and it was put together so jeepers everywhere didn't have to "piecemeal" information on the swaps anymore. I would check into it. I am sure it will answer any of your questions.

Take care,
