4.2 carb intake stud size

Hello.

This is on my 1990 Wrangler with 4.2L. I am swapping to the Motorcraft 2100 carb...and I bought a whole swap kit from ebay seller.

There is a spacer/adaptor with allen head bolts that bolt into the existing carb stud bolt holes on the intake manifold...but they don't want to go in easily.

I am going to use a tap to clean up the threads...but when I search, I can't find the size of the threads. It looks to be a coarse 5/16 (18) thread. I took one of the new bolts to the hardware store and matched it to a nut of that thread pitch.

Can someone please confirm the size for me?

Thanks.

No one has any answer to this?

Can someone point me in the right direction where to find the info? The search didn't work...

Taking the bolt to the hardware store is exactly what I would have done. And they are indeed 5/16 (18) thread. I just did a Weber swap about 3 weeks ago and they are supplied with the kit.

I appreciate the response....the threads in the intake were messed up enough that I wasn't sure. I got confirmation from another source...then used the 5/16 (18) tap to clean up the threads for the swap.
