4.2l starting/idle problems

I have an 89 with a 4.2L inline 6. It was running a little rough and had trouble with cold starts. and friend told me to clean carburator with carb cleaner and spray it in there while it was running. did that. and seemed fine that day.

but now, not only does it have trouble starting, but now it will not idle. even when hot.

i already changed fuel filte, new plugs and wires..but no luck. dies when i come to a stop.

any ideas?

Remove and clean the stepper motor and carb. Check your vacuum lines and make sure you don't have any leaks.
....then do the nutter bypass on it. The "Nutter" Bypass
