So my friends cherokee got t-boned and the insurance company let him buy it so he could get most of the stuff he had on it for his newer cherokee. It was a 95 4.0l engine with 98,000 miles, and he told me I could buy the engine with everything I need from it for $300 (can't pass that up). If I took out the computer, harness, and engine, could I just put it in my 1989 Wrangler? Would I need new engine mounts/tranny or could I just bolt up my ax-15 to it? I've done engine swaps before, but if anyone has done this, I'd appreciate any advice. I was also thinking of using the aw-4 tranny with it, but I'd miss having a stick.....
