Question 4.3 gm?

I was told by a friend that the Chevy 4.3L V6 would bolt right up to my 2.5L 5 speed tranny? Is that true? Is there anything else I need to change?

I doubt that is true, the chevy 4.3 is the same size of the 5.7 (350c.i.) minus 2 cylinders... Moderate power from the 4.3 but if you are going to do an engine swap do it right with a v8

I dont belive it is a strait bolt up! if it is same as 350 block less 2 cylinders, the 350 requires a conversion plate of some sort!

the 4.3 is a great swap, i have two buddys that did that swap in their willys' but not to the ax5 tranny...

i wouldnt put anything other than the 4banger in front of that thing and i dont believe its a direct swap... and i doubt that even advance adapters has a conversion plate for the ax5 to chevy...

Why is that tranny bad? I don't have the money to change the whole drive line.

that trans is the wimpiest thing jeep ever did, it fails constantly in the 4 cyls, and cannot handle any more power.

OK I found a friend that has a tubro 350 and a T-case from a 77 chevy with a 400 small block ( he's not selling the 400 ) and can anyone tell me what T-case would be in it? It has a right side drop witch is good from my YJ. That will work from the 4.3 swap. Will this tranny and T-case be a hard swap?
