More air in and more air out. You can put a 4.0 throttle body on there and one of the air intake kits. Then throw on a header and free flowing exhaust. That would give you a noticeable difference on any vehicle.

Trying to pump up a 4 is a waste of time and money, you mentally convince yourself "yeah, I think I can feel it", but it ain't there to any extent. With 33's you need 4.88 gears to compensate, end up using the same speedo gear, maybe one tooth different. Then the only prob is trying to accelerate those 80 lb tires at each corner. Been there (for 7 years), done that, swapped in a 4.3 V6, now very happy.

Electric fans. They replace the mechanical fan bolted to the front of your motor. I dont know for sure but 2 12' fans should do the job. probly will gain 5-10 horses. check out ebay they are pretty cheap and easy to install

I have read about using a ford taurus fan. Aparently they are the right size to fit the radiator and move the right amount of air. I can't recall which body style has the correct fan, but a couple of measurements will clear it up.
