4" lift questions

Hey everyone.....newbie wrangler owner and had some questions concerning lift sizes, brands, etc..
I recently purchased a 94 YJ 4.0L 5-speed pretty much stock all around except for a 3" body lift that I really want to remove. I am looking to replace the body lift with a 4" suspension lift and go with some 32's for now and 33's in the future. I've read numerous posts on lift kits, body lifts, shackles, etc. I've pretty much made up my mind between the skyjacker 4" and the BDS 3.5" but my mind tends to change very frequently especially after reading a lot on here. I am not looking to break the bank or do any serious off roading, I live in Miami and the most I will see is some mudding and light trail riding.
Which lift does everyone recommend and am I going in the right direction (4" vs 2.5"). I am open to all suggestions and advice. I do not have any pics available but I will post some as soon as I get them. Thanks in advance for any help provided.

you are on the right track, a 4" suspension lift is what you seem to be looking for. As far as brand names, I don't run either of those brands so I don't want to say anything other than they are both reliable brands.

Just do your homework and read up on here, you will need to drop the TC etc.

The SOA is good but may be a lil overkill for what you are looking for, but read up on it and see what you think.

I did read somewhere that RE is back in the biz, not sure on the details.

I think SUA would better fit my needs, not trying to knock off SOA I think it works very well and have read up on it but it is just a preference to go SUA for now.

I did consider RE but last I heard they are still closed and none of the shops around me can get their hands on one.

I will also be ordering a TC drop with whatever kit I decide to go with.

Thanks again guys for your suggestions.

I have skyjacker 4" it has a great ride and flexes really good. Came with tc drop and no vibes. Only thing you'll need is drop pitman arm and I chose to get stainless ext. Brake lines. You might wanna get some new shackle bushings while your at it.

I have a 4" RC lift and 2" PA body lift and love my stance just perfect. RC is a good lift not a smooth ride but for the price its great and they are taking out new 2.0 shocks witch are suppose to be better than the 2.2.

What size tire do you have? And what type fenders and flares? I think I have a 4" RC lift, my shackles measure 6".....I believe that provides a lift too (think I read factory was 4"). I also have the xenon 6" flares. I have 33" tires now, though they actually only measure 31.5". Anyway, I'm wanting 35".

On my recommendation of lift....I would highly recommend the lift I have. If anyone knows how I can tell what it is, let me know and I'll look and post it. The 33's (or 31.5's as it actually turns out to be) have plenty of clearance and the ride is very good....on and off road. It's been on the jeep at least 20 years and it doesnt sag, bounce or anything weird.
