4 wheel drive keeps disengaging

Ok so im in the process of getting my new driveshaft for the rear so i thought it would be ok to drive it around in 4 for a few days but it keeps disengages. Ill stop put in N and shut it off and in pops back in place for about another mile. Ive got under and checked the vac line and it was suction. Any help with this guys. Thanks a ton

Has anybody heard of this problem. Ive heard maybe vac regulater or a switch. Ive been under and pulled off the vac line and it seems to have suction to it.

i would guess it has to be the vacuum switch but who knows. i replaced one on a 92 and it was real simple to do. got the old one out and the ball baring was totally shot. i got the switch at auto zone for like $12.

Is the shifter getting hung up comeing
through the floor?
With a leaf over there would be some
mods needed to the shifter links

if you have not locked in the frt diff then that should be a must do.

it cost nothing and is very easy 30 minute fix.

call me if you have any questions
