4in Lift,

I bought a jeep that came with a skyjacker lift that the PO had gotten off of craigslist. This is my first lift and I GOT to be sure I have everything I need before I try to get this on.
: wavey:
PLEASE can someone give me a list of all the parts that I need for a FOUR in life, including anything that I may need or need to look out for. Thank You for your time.

I think someone at sky jacker should be able to get you a parts list from their kit.

Their basic kit comes with springs, u-bolts and bushings. Optional (but required imho for a 4" lift are a drop pitman arm, sway bar disconnects if you're keeping your front sway bar, transfer case drop and shocks of course.

Soak everything in PB blaster before you try to remove it and have a grinder with cutting wheels ready if it's doesn't come off.

Thanks Chris, telling me to look else where is not what I was hoping to get a answer to. Sheesh.... thinking i have everything other than a transfer case drop... Was looking into getting a SYE deal for it, but i do plan on getting a brake line kit from Louisville MOAB just to be sure that i don't have a problem with them.

Well a question like that that can be googled or by searching for skjacker 4" lifts deserves the answer i gave.

So, I went a head and searched it and came up with this:

http://www.quadratec.com/products/16017_10X_B_PG.htm

Acording to q tech, this kit comes with shocks and a trac bar drop kit as well. So all in all it really depends on which kit you have.

Will do Chris, I was hoping i would get a previous Jeeper that had done it before that I couldn't get off of quadratrec that some experienced Jeepers would have, like should I do a sye change up for it, brake lines, and other things that could come up.

I had to end up changing all my brake lines back to the master becuase mine were rusted too bad to try to un do them. I also lengthed the rubber sections just in case.

I ended up doing an sye on mine but could have gotten away with a t case drop but i wanted to do a flat belly someday so just went ahead and did it.

I did a 2.5 " rc lift. The skyjacker is better than the rc lift so you might nat have as many issues. Plan for the worst though.

For tools you might want to have a 4" or so thing cut off wheel/grinder near by as on most folks at least one of the spring hanger bolts will be frozen in place...

the one good thing is the PO had replaced the bushings so I am sure that the bolts shouldn't be to bad to take off. I'm going to buy a brake line kit tomorrow and transfer case drop tomorrow.

Heat was not helping but good looking out.. those where Crazy locked in. Used a killer snap on impact on them and they didn't budge.

I just did a transfer case drop but now it has a whine when in between gears when around 40 and up mph. Think it is the transfer case doing it.

I had bought a extended line set for the front lines but the rear line was already been replaced. Problem came up when turning and the tires catching the lines so i ended up Zip tied to the shocks.

Other than that everything went fairly well

I did a 4" RC lift about a month ago. All 4 of my bolts were welded in it felt like... I broke 3 craftsman sockets trying to get them out. Nope had to cut them all.

Your jeep looks goot BTW!

Ended up cutting off the U bolts off with a four and a half wheel, then dropped on some new ones.
