4wd light vacuum switch

Now I know why my 4wd light does come on. The power lead got yanked out of the vacuum switch mounted next to the battery. Does anyone have a part number or a source for this switch. Dealer???

thanks
Jake

There was recently a thread discussing that same switch. I am not sure what the outcome of that was. I'll see if I can't find that thread again.

Navychief, I think, was the one that was looking for the switch, but I can't find the thread. I'm not sure I ever read what the end result of that was. Maybe he can help when he gets here.

hey there. i found all the stuff for my 4x4 light. very strainge set up. COVRACE, can you send me a pic of what you are looking at? send to:NAVYCHIEF872000@YAHOO.COM
my light did not work after replacing what was missing. the vacuum switch has no power lead. look next to iy and you will find a vacuum tube with a little vac valve on it. in the same conduit there should be another vac line. that one goes to the bottom of the large vac sw.

ok, looks like I'm off to the dealer to find this stupid little thing. Maybe I'll replace it with a toggle switch on the shifter to turn on the light when I'm in 4wd

thanks
Jake

and again i know exactly how you feel...the guy before me ripped the back seats out threw them away...either threw out the soft top or sold it...and just kept the bikini top but don't get me wrong on the bikini top but it would have been nice to have both. In my opinion he ripped all the things that make a yj a YJ and tossed them...and then the cheap ass body lift...i can tell a cheap ass that was in a big hurry owned it before me. So i'm doing things slow and correct now....hopefully it'll love me and last a long time for it!!
