Unhappy 4x4 trouble

Hi, I recently purchased a 89 jeep wrangler yj with the 4.2l v6. I am having trouble with the fourwheel drive. It has two shifters in the floor but no marks to know what is what. I have played around with it and can get it to engage just kinda weird config because both shifters an go all the way up and all the way down. Any ideas on what is what because I am lost here and really want to get in the mud where my jeep belongs lol. I installed the posi loc on it to rid myself of the vacuum woes as well. Thanks for any info.

Usually the shifter on the left is for 2whl dr and 4whl dr and the one on the right for high and lo.

are the two sticks for a twin stick transfer case? or is one for your 5 speed transmission and one your trasfer case? is your jeep and automatic or manual?

BTW..your 4.2 is an I6 not V6
