I think the 50" will be too wide to fit a YJ. I've been looking at these also. From what I got back from the supplier, the 50" is from light to light. The actual arms mount wide, so it might actually be 54" or so total width. I assume you're looking at the 240W model.

It's 32" (about 36" with the mounts) and I'm thinking it will mount right on the upper windshield (in front of the soft top channel) and fire forward). This will also help in clearance, as my Jeep is so tall that a lightbar on top would make it hard to get through some trails without ripping it off.
