8.8 SUA Help

Guys, I put a 8.8 rear axle in and at the same time I installed a BDS 2" lift kit. I used the RuffStuff 8.8 kit for perches and U bolts, but I noticed when I was tightening the U bolts the spring was flattening out. The spring perch from RuffStuff is much longer than the factory one, I think they are ment to be used for SOA installs. What I need is to know the length of the factory perch so I can cut these shorter. I tried google but nobody has ever posted that measurment in all the 8.8 installs I have read.

Anyone else have this issue?

I would just cut them to the same length as the Dana 35 mounts. As long as the spring isnt hitting the tube you are fine. And yes, the SOA perches are longer. They are 7" if I remember correctly.

I just did the same install as you, Ruffstuff spring perch was too long and break line was going to rub on it as well, took the grinder and removed 3/4on the back side and the front was good,

Yeah thats my plan, cut off the excess. I just wanted to see how long the factory perches were just to get an idea of how long they should be.
