87YJ Not getting spark

I need some help here. A few months ago, I was driving my jeep and it just died. I thought it was the starter solenoid, so I replaced it, but that didn't fix the problem. Turned out, there was a fusible link that had blown.

Since then, it turns over, but doesn't start. It's not getting spark at the spark plugs. I pulled the cable from the coil, and it doesn't get a spark either while cranking, but as soon as I turn the key back to run, it sparks once.

I've replaced the ignition control module because every post I've seen says to do that first. No change. The coil tests out okay-proper resistance at each terminal.

When the ignition switch is in run, the coil gets about 4V. While cranking, that voltage goes up to only around 7-8V. It should be 6V on run, and 12V while cranking.

I tested continuity between the coil and the started solenoid, and it shows that there is continuity. Is it possible for the continuity that I'm seeing goes through the ICM?

It's very possible that I didn't hook all of the wires up to the solenoid correctly.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Oh, forgot to mention, it's a '87, 4.2L, 5-speed.

Have you checked to see if your timing chain had jumped time

Haven't checked the timing chain. I previously removed the coil and took it to autozone. They tested it and said it was fine. I didn't know at the time they were only checking resistance. I just pulled out the Haynes and checked specs on the coil Primary coil should be 1.13-1.23 ohms and secondary should be 77-93k-ohms. I checked my coil-primary is showing 2.7 and secondary is 8k. I think I'll be trading this one out for another.
