I just bought a '88 Laredo with an I6 and 5 speed last Tue (you can check my intro tread in the check in section for details).
Anyway, my question is simple. Where is the drain bolt for the transmission? Or (this just came to me) does it even have one? I couldn't find it, leading to me almost break something, if I already didn't. But I won't go there, unless you press me. It's a little case of not thinking...
So where is it? I good discription, or preferably, a nice picture, would be awsome. And same for the fill plug. The only plug I could find that looked like a fill plug was about halfway up the passenger side of the transmission, above the crossmember, with a square socket for removal. Which I did, thinking it was the fill plug, and promptly had gear oil coming out, although probably not more not more then a cup or two at the most.
Anyway, your help would be greatly appriciated, so I can get this changed and ready so I can use it tomorrow to get to work.
EDIT: I do have a Haynes service manual, but as far as the pictures go they are worthless to me. Fill plug has no reference, and is pretty dark, drain plug has no reference and I can't find ANY bolts like that on the bottom of the transmission.
