My89yj is on a distinguished road
89 having bad cold start issues

it seams like every year the old girl starts having some issues round november when it gets cold up here in new hampshire.i have to pump the thing about 40 or so times in the 5 or 10 minutes it takes me to start it every morning. it has the same issue sometimes when i go to leave work after 10 hours of siting. its the first time i have had this specific issue the other times it was the ecu and the starter.it has the o so relient carter bbd carb on a 4.2 L. i have heard it could be a choke issue, a vacume issue, i dont have the heat risertube attached to the exhaust manifold, the pump hoses arnt attached to the cat do to previouse owner, cracked or lose exhaust manifold, carb tuning issue, clogged idle tubes, stepper motor, sole-vac selenoid and i still need to pull a spark plug to rule that out. it has always had an issue with high idle and low idle i remedied the sticky high idle but when you start it in warmer months it starts and idles high for about 5-10 secounds then kick down to low idle and almost wants to stall but now it does it and you cant catch it manually for the first few tires, last winter i just sat in it a manually idled it for a few minutes and then fine but this winter has been a pain so far i pump it about 8 times just turns ,pump it again 8 times and it might catch but stalls out, pump aging 8 and i might be able to catch it this time but most likely i will have caught it the next time and then it runs really hard (jeep shuddering) feels like a potential misfire but once i get it running and warmed up it doesnt have an issue,i did notice in the morning the volts read about 8 when starting and when it runs it idles around8 or 9 volts (headlights dime) but when its reved up its fine lights bright system pounding and i forgot to mention it has an few differnt taps and knocks since i bought it and recientally the oil pressure pegs out over 80 it used to bounce back to 40 but now its peged out.
