Unhappy 89 won't even crank over....

so i turn the key on and turn it to start it.... the fuel pump kicks on, but yet the starter doesn't even click... i can push it and pop the clutch and it will start.... So am i looking at a starter or relay???

There are relays under the hood and I think that one is for the starter. I would also check the battery connection.

Check the connections at the starter, make sure they are clean and tight.

x2, after mudding mine did that and it was just the positive cable came loose at the starter side. Always check your connections first...

the bendix in the started had seized up... bought a new starter with the lifetime replacement!! Thanks for the replies!
