89 wrangler electrical problem

I purchased an 89 wrangler 4.2 and the previous owner did a lot of lot of very bad wiring. I have corrected what I can but I am having a problem with no gauges, tach, dash lights, wipers, heater motor etc. The alternator was not charging when I got the jeep and I found a rotted fuseable link to the starter relay.I fixed that. Just thought I would mention that in case it had something to do with the problem. I appreciate any help greg.
